Building Online Client Relationships
If you plan to start marketing online for leads there are a few items you’ll need to know. First online clients want information. They search for information on which products are best for their needs. This is why we publish a FREE report on the top 11 ways shutter companies Will and Do Rip You Off. They want to see videos of your products, so we have 12 videos we shot in the Norman Shutters training room. They want referrals and reviews, so we have links on our sites to our Yelp, Google Plus and Merchant Circle reviews. We even have a place on our sites for them to leave reviews.
Our websites spend time telling them the “Story” of Shutter Nation. We educate and inform them and in turn they buy shutters from me.
The formula is simple to build online relationships. The problem is most retailers have no idea what to do or how to do it. Just like any other professional taking the time to educate yourself on new marketing systems is essential to your success. It’s time to learn about the next generation of YOUR clients. I’m not saying you have to become a online marketing expert, but I do want you to learn as much as you can to make educated decisions on who to hire to implement your online strategy. When you pay the Yellow Pages you don’t need to learn publishing, but you do need to learn how to evaluate the different books.
If you’re tired of earning less each year, losing market share, working harder for less money and losing sleep, perhaps it’s time to buy a few books sit on a beach and read, dream and rebuild your business.
I know from personal experience it can be done. It takes time and a solid plan to re direct your business. The truth is I’m unsure how to end this. One part of me feels sorry for the business owners who are scared to make any changes; they will sadly go out of business. The other is I get so excited when see it working and lives being changed.
We are a group of mom and pop business. Most window covering retailers are small business. We all have family’s to support and bills to pay. There is very little in this industry to bring us together. This is why I would like to invite you to join a Private Face Book group with over 1800 members that I set up for people in this industry.
I stared this group several years ago as a way to meet other dealers and share ideas about marketing. It has grown into much more than that. Please join us. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for an invitation to join. It’s Free and Fun.
